St Paul
St Paul
In Te Whare Hauora we had to write about one of St Paul's acts. I decided to do one about when he didn't like people who followed jesus and what happened because of that. Here is my story.
Saul was a man who didn't like people who followed Jesus.
Saul would put Jesus' followers in jail or even kill them.
One day Saul and his followers were on
their way to Damascus to put some catholics in jail.
while they were walking a sudden light shone upon him.
A voice started talking to Saul. It said Saul, Saul why are you Hurting me.
who are you Saul replied. I am whom you are hurting, Jesus.
Go into the city and you will be told what to do Said Jesus.
Saul go up to go to the city but he couldn't see, he had been blinded
Sauls followers had to lead him into Damascus. Saul was blinded for three days.
Then Ananias, A disciple of Jesus was told by Jesus to lay his hands on saul
but Ananias was scared because he had heard of the thing that Saul had done,
But Ananias obeyed Jesus and lay his hands on Saul. At that moment something like scales fell from Saul's eyes and he could see again. After that day Saul changed his name to Paul and devoted his life to studying and telling people about Jesus.

The Roman Aquaducts
The Roman Aqueducts
An aqueduct is an a arch like structure that the Romans built to to bring water from outside sources into the cities. Roman aqueducts were built over the period of about 500 years. Parts of the aqueducts remain in modern-day parts of France, Spain, Greece, North Africa, and Turkey. 11 aqueducts were built to bring water to Rome from 92 km away. Despite how old they are some of the aqueducts are still in use and they provide modern-day Rome with water.
Plane Task Part 2 - Different Part of a Plane
Different parts of a Plane
Airfoils - have a special lift force made by altering the shape of the wing to a sort of teardrop.
Flaps - Increase lift and drag, they are for when the plane takes off and lands.
Spoiler - Change lift drag and roll.
Wing - Generates lift
Air brake - Increases drag by popping up a panel too slow down a plane faster.
Turbine engine - Generates thrust
Elevator- Change Pitch.
Cockpit- Command and Control.
Horizontal stabilizer - Control,pitch.
Rudder - Change Yaw.
Vertical Stabilizer - It is what the rudder sits in and it provides more stability.
Winglet- Decrease Drag.
Fuselage - Holds things together.
Propulsion - Provides thrust so the plane can fly it pushes/pulls the plane through the air.
Aileron- Change roll
Slats - increases lift.

Raggy Mc Waggy
In NZ Heroes we wrote story inspired by the hairy maclary books. Here is mine:
Raggy mc Waggy
Raggy mc Waggy
Fur soft as can be
As small as a bunny
and fast like a bee
Went out for a walk
On a summers hot day
But then came along
Trouble Mac Hay
Trouble Mac Hay
Steals apples all day
But when he gets bored
He plays in the hay
But when he disturbed
He stomps his hoofs loudly
He huffs and puffs
And then he says loudly
Raggy mc Waggy!
I’ve had enough
Stop running past quickly
And stealing my stuff
I'm getting real angry
So you better run
Cause I'm gonna come
So Run! Run! Run!
Raggy mc Waggy
Runs past all the houses
Till she gets home
To hide in her basket

It means their beds were made out of bracken.

2. ‘Toms hand was strong to the plough
He is strongly pushing a plough.
3. ‘But all the beautiful crops soon went to the mortgage man instead’
They had to give their crops that they grew to the mortgage man to keep their farm.
4.’Old toms gone light in the head’
His brain isn't working very well and he's forgetting lots of things.
5.’The farms still their. Mortgage corporation couldn't give it away’
The mortgage corporation couldn't give it away because it doesn't have any value and no one wanted it.

Marcellin Champanat
Marcellin Champangat Close Activity
This week I did a close activity. I had to fill in the gaps of a story about Marcellin champanat. I learnt about how Marcellin became a priest and I enjoyed having to find the right words to fill in the gaps.
Here is a picture of my work.
